Default BAD experience w/ SUBE Sports!

Ok, so me and two of my other friends went to sube sports about 3 days ago and was greeted all friendly and all by that one dude that always works there (first office on the right). we bought a crow harness from them, the guy asked us which seat we were gonna use to see if it would work and if we had a roll bar or not, all three of us said NO, we were NOT going to use a roll bar. so we paid for the crow harness and was told we could come back in a few days since they're made to order.

so we came back a few days later, picked it up, went out and went home that night to install the harness. they freakin gave us harness for a ROLL BAR!!!! they didn't even reach the floor going straight down. we called up sube sports the next day and told them about the problem, the guy gave us attitude and told us that we would simply have to BUY extensions or buy a roll bar. he wouldn't let us exchange them since they're competition harnesses and they're dated. we got pissed and went back there today in person and the guy still gave us attitude, my friend called him a moron for screwing up and he told him to stop trying to be "cool"! wat an ***! he said that we never told him that we didn't have a roll bar! he freakin ASKED us if we did! he still refused to let us exchange the harness and kept giving us phuckin attitude! we talked to crow and they agreed to replace them for FREE! crow didn't even screw up yet they're going to replace them! now that's service! Crows get's a and sube sports get's a BIG

Sounds like this guy is trying to do you a favor. Maybe you *should* get a roll bar.

I've only got positive things to say about Sube sports,

Scott

Yes, but does that matter here?

What matters is that it sounds like our man here got ripped off. Let's save the "harnesses w/o rollbar?" debate for another time.

the crow harness are actually going into a full drag car, it's FULLY gutted, don't wants a heavy roll bar in there..... yet..... not til they make us

i just posted in this forum cuase i'm sure more people in here actually shops there. also prior to buying the crows i've been to the store 5 times before, a few of those times he sorta gave me attitude, he didn't say anythin straight out but you could tell that he was thinking "buy something or leave".

i also came there to buy some roll bar padding which they don't sell anymore, but he had red and yellow still in stock and tryed to talk me into getting both the red and the yellow, he said they'll match beautifully, wtf? wanted to kick his *** then too!

Hehehe... news flash... business ultimately exist to "sell you something"...

I do have one question nobody has asked... why get a harness at all for drag racing? especially if you don't "need" a cage? Not being a drag racer, I totally don't see the benefit of a harness here (just the added weight). So, educate me please.

ps - do not mount the shoulder straps to the floor directly behind the seat.

Just call Crow and they will most likely fix you up. I have bought two sets of belts through them and both times they gave me great service
