tie-rod bolt warped, any options to rethread it?
I just put on my new passenger side hub and while trying to reassemble the tie rod the castle bolt would not thread. On closer inspection i noticed that the lower part of the tie rod bolt was cross threaded. The castle nut is a 14mm , so i figure i'd have to find a 14mm die/tap kit? Someone randomly informed me that it would be probably a 10mm/12mm die kit that i would need to rethread the bolt. Is that person right or do i have to find a 14mm rethread tool?
I honestly rather buy an 9$ kit then a hole new tie rod end (50-90$)
thanks

I don't know how to fix it, and your thread didn't really make sense
to me, but I know I can get you a new tie rod for a lot less than $50!

Just impact it on there using a floor jack and lock jaw or channel lock pliers if needed to get it to start threading.
Impact it off when you're ready to replace it.
Autozone has tie rods (Perfect Circle) for $25 each. OEM tie rods are roughly $30 to $35 each.
