need help with headlight
i used masking tape to cover the reflective part of the headlight housing, spray painted everything else with hi temp black and everything was going smoothly until i removed the masking tape. the masking tape brought up a portion of the reflective material...
anyone know where i can find this film at or is there something i can replace it with?

I have seen some spray paints that are supposed to give a chrome finish. The only thing I am concerned about is maintaining a smoot texture on the reflective plate where the shiney surface peeled off. I think this is your best option to exercise first because I can't think of any other ways to bring back the plate's original finish.
Also, if this were to fail you can always try to buy a broken headlight that has a good reflective backpanel and use it in your existing headlight. I think this is the best route to take so that the job is done right the first time.
Try a painting the backplate using the chrome spray paint and if the look isn't appealing to you then try your local junkyard for some craked headlights.
Good luck. I know what you must be going through.
