i want something tasteful with good quality.


i don't want crazy graphics or colors, or flippy face plate thingies, or retractable tv screens, or anything. just something to play friggin CDs


if there is something out there that with JUST a simple lcd screen, volume buttons, and a play button. i doubt something like this exists, but let me know...

I have to represent for Pioneer.

This is $129 retail, $90- 100 ebay. Never pay retail for a head unit. UPS should deliver my new cd player today, it has all those bells and whistles thingies that you want to avoid though.

Retail price- $380+ tax (9.75%) vs ebay $240 +17.50 shipping without tax.

For simplicity... honestly I thin JVC base models are DAMN simple, and most of the $199 and under Panasonics are great with SQ for average use and simple + clean

 

I'm going to agree on the Nak. If you aren't looking for aesthetics, then Nakamichi is the way to go. They make damn good products and their sound quality is great.

 

Alpines have always been pretty simple decks to operate. Go look at some Alpine decks.

I'm going with the Pioneer DEH-1500. I did a small favor for a guy who owns a car audio place and he told me that pretty much the same internals are used in this unit as in Pioneers $800 unit, just without all the flashy features, like amps and stuff... you know, all that stuff that gets in the way of actually enjoying the music. and it's only $100.

never had good experience with kenwood, pioneer is the way to go, hince 'pioneer'

 

if you want something well worth the money and under 300 bucks i can sell yhou an eclipse CD3403 mp3,cd radio.. this is an awsome unit with unbelivable reliabity and clarity

 

i can get u the eclipse CD3403 for 260 shipped comes with a 3 year warranty for the first year, if the radio was to get stolen, it would be replaced with a brand new one. im an authorized dealer also. if u want to get the CD3413, i can get that for 300 shipped.
