anyone riding w/ out insurance?
in VA if you get caught w/o insurance you lose your license and its around $600 in DMV fees to get it back. if you have your bike registered and have no insurance, chances are DMV will find out.
I was, but in FL motorcycle insurance is not necessary.....
It IS required if you ride w/out a helmet, you need to carry like 100K + in liability

Since you guys are talking about bike insurance, I was wondering if you can get insurance if you have a permit. I'm wondering how the insurance thing is when you are learning to ride.

Florida doesn't require insurance at all on motorcycles.
To ride without a helmet you are required to carry $10,000 in liability though (not $100k).
Be smart, shop around, get insurance. Most people only think that it pays for your property if you get in an accident. WRONG. The most important aspect is paying for OTHER PEOPLE'S property and medical bills.

I've been riding without insurance since I got my bike a few weeks ago, but I'm a dumbshit and am getting insurance very soon. The main reason I don't have insurance is because I've been very busy without moving out and going to school so I haven't been riding too much. Don't ride without insurance, you're just asking for trouble.
