ok this happedend before i took the b16 out, i thought the starter died, well i got another one and well it does the same, both starters are good..... this is on a 1990 hatch

i checked my voltage, and at the battery i have 12.5 and when i turn over the key it sits at 9.0 volts at the starter....... ????

i replaced the main relay allready, im not sure the starter relay might be bad, where could i get one at?

but if it isnt that then im lost, i have no clue, the starter wont even spin over if i take it off the flywheel and turn the key
but if i put straight power on it it works fine......
anyone even have this happen to them?
please help i need to get this thing started

your having ground issues on the motor and to the starter.. I don't know if you have painted the trans. if you have the sand down the area around where the starter mounts....
