Hey everyone, I'm usually on some of the other boards and Accordsleeper reffered me to this site. I was wondering if anyone with a sunroof has a weird squeaky sound comming from the rear of the roof? It sounds like something is loose. Like metal is shaking around. I tightened the screws in the front part of my roof where the sunroof retracts. Will I have to remove the interior celling to get acess to this? Is it worth the hassel or should I let the dealer rape me and fix it?

 

I was told by my Honda mechanic friend that the foam ring needs to be cleaned, then there is some type of grease (probably lithium or silicone) you put on the ring to stop the sqeaking.

 

lubing it up witrh graphite grease every once in a while will keep it from squeaking as well

 

honda had a bulletin about this...if u take it in and they are bulletin wise.....they will put some anti squeeking tape on it.

thanks guys! I did try having the dealership grease the track, but it didn't really work. I'll ask them next time I go about the bulletin and see if they can use some anti squeek tape.
