WHAT ABOUT A R1 VS VIPER AND SKYLINE. WHAT ADVANTAGE WOULD THEY HAVE OVER THE BIKE? FROM A DIG CAN THEY TAKE THE BIKE ? WHO CAN STOP THE BEST ? WHAT ABOUT 0 TO 100 TO 0 WHO WILL WIN? it doesn not take too much to keep up w/a 600 cc sport bike from a roll its from the line that makes it hard. When i had my bike i raced all kinds of stuff vettes porshe's mustangs camors all of them i smoked but most races were from a dead stop.

you no who the king is bikes man let be for real you have to do alot to cars to make them fast like a bike but then look how much you spend on making that car fast compare to a bike

 

its about power to weight ratio.... that being said.... a bike will win....

new R1's are wicked fast.

 

And even if a car could hang with the bike on acceleration, there's no way it'd ever stop as quick.
I remember reading an article in Car and Driver where they did comparison tests between a Shelby Cobra, Viper, and a top class street bike (there was more stuff, but i don't remember what. And I don't remember what bike it was, but one of the fastest ones you could get from the factory).
The bike went 0-60-0 almost before any of the other cars made it to 60.

that doesn't mean that it went from 60-0 faster neccessarily... This test has already officially been done..
ON a show called Head to Head, hosted by Jeremy Clarkson..
I believe it was a Porsche GT3 vs. some crazy bike, an R1 or something, maybe an R6(I don't know my bikes very well). BOTH WERE DRIVEN BY WORLD CHAMPION DRIVERS in their respective fields. They started off the line, and drove through a full track. The bike obviously accelerated faster off of the line, but the car could carry so much more speed through the corners, the Porsche ended up winning by a little.

on a roll i think the cars can take the bike if its a 600. i said that because my buddy with a 1000 was smoke by a gt turbo.

 

mustang GT turbo? was 1000 was your buddy on...that doesn't sound right at all.

ok guy's the test was 0-100-0 mph not 60 mph . And the bike won by a long shot.And yes Mr sleepeg the GT3 can crary more speed then R1 in some type's of turn's. But the car has to brake earilyer then the bike. but comeing out of the trun the bike can out accelerat faster then the porsche can. SO THIS IS HARD TO BELIEVE. And the R1 killed a ZO6 in ROAD AND TRACK. Now i know a porsche is more refined and my have a small handling advantage. but the ZO6 has more power. AND they are in the same class. thank you for reply sleepeg

It happened you idiot. I didn't make it up, or bench-rice it, like seems to be the case in a lot of these claims. Find the show online, go watch the episode, then go cry in the corner. Maybe the difference between Clarkson's test and R&T is that Clarkson made world champion drivers drive both the car and bike, to eliminate discrepancy in driver skill
