600RR runs hot?
I just got my CBR 600 RR and it is amazing. I love this bike and i have no complaints as of yet. I picked it up 3 days ago. My question to those who also have the bike is DOES IT TEND TO RUN HOT? my brother's GSX-r 750 runs alot cooler than mine. Example, city riding doin 35 or 40 i chill at about 200 - 210. Highway is fine, 170-180, but my bros runs alot cooler. Can anyone give me some feedback here?
you cant compare one bike with anouther unless they are the same model. Due to bigger cooling systems differt thermostats ect... differt models are designed to run at differt temps..
Also remember it's only 3 days old. Everything is tight inside. Generating a little more heat. It's normal.
I know it's not the same bike, but my R6 ran pretty warm for a while, then calmed down, highway temp is around 160-165. and city, 185-215 then fan kicks in.
keep riding. Got to get that bit*h broke in.
Oh yeah. Forgot to mention...when I changed the oil for the first time in my 03, it looked like lots of assembly lube in the oil. This could also contribute to excessive heat.
