Default trying to set up my TEIN FLEX

ok, I want to start off by saying that the instructions that my kit came with are horrible. I'm having an issue with where to set the bottom piece of the coilover. Basically I dont know if my car is TOO low and I dont want to blow out a shock or have a shitty ride. I am not sure if this kit is any different from any other coilovers, but the bottom of my kit can screw off completly and that's what I dont know how far to screw it in.

are your instructions in Japanese? When I got my TEIN Ha, the instructions were in Japanese. I spent an hour trying to learn Japanese and then it hits me....Search the internet. Low & behold...instructions in English.

adjust the main perch for the spring so the spring has zero preload....ie. just so it touches the top hat.

Now adjust the bottom perch to whatever ride height is good for you. It'll take some trial and error....

I dont think you should have to worry too much about that.
just dont dump it ridiculously.

the whole thing about the type flex is that it lets you adjust the height without affecting suspension stroke.

so when you move that bottom perch.. the stroke doesnt really change now does it??
