I think I'm losing compression!!
Is there a way to check for compression at home?
Because I opened my oil cap and put my hand over it....I feel air blowing out!
I'm pretty sure that I might be losing compression because my car just started to run kinda crappy about a month ago! PLEASE help!!

Start your car and let it idle for a few minutes.
From left to right: Pull your first spark plug cap off and listen to the car idle. It should idle much lower for a second. Now put the cap back and pull out the second one and listen how this one idles. Do this with every spark plug cap. If the car idles higher in one cilinder you'll know that that cilinder has less compression.
you could also buy a compression tester (the screw in kind)and test your compression. This way you really know if you have or don't have compression in a cilinder.
Good luck

hehehe 16 flaT.
that plug test that was stated before is actually a home test to see if your running on 3 cylinders and the plug test actually would locate the bad cylinder for you.
