V-AFC on 99 SH
I have a 99 SH with a V-AFC and the engine light comes on sometimes not all the time! Does any one know what the deal is with that? And does any one have some base line settings for the V-AFC also, I have a DC header, DC cat back, AEM short stack intake, Denson Iridium plugs, Hot wires, ANd A jackson Racing Supersharger with engine management unit and I think a boost controler in the glove box a dial kind of **** thing! I have re-initialized it and all of the setting are factory settings! If I adjust the V-tec what else has to be adjusted? I am lost here with this things and it is running like poop! Please be nice! take your car to someone who can tune it correctly on a dyno. you should NOT be tuning this car unless you know what you are doing. take the car to a shop before you **** something up.
This does really give the impression that you bought the car modded. We know that the "**** thingy" can't be a boost controller because boost on a SC is set at either 6 or 9 lbs as controlled by the pulley size.

Excellent advice dude, TOUCH NOTHING until you figure out what you have and have someone who knows what's up look at it.

Yes I bought the car with the SC and intake and headers and a dc cat back and the V-afc already in it! But it runs like crap! The is alot of hesitaion and it smokes a bit there is alot of oil blow by in the intake! I don't know if the crank case has been vented properly! I have reset the V-AFC and it seems to be running fine now! But I tried to adjust the VTEC engagement point and the check engine light comes on along with the ATTS light! The rev limit won't go past 6500! I guess the only thing to do is to take it to a shop and have it done! Thanks for the info!
