why do you want it? I hope you dont intend to put it in your intake. its waste gas is CO2 which removes O2 from the air... ever see a flame in a glass vaccum with the oxygen removed? exactly. I aould see it being used to keep the IM cool between runs perhaps... maybe a box with holes on the bottom so the cold air could sink down... you can get it at any supermarket. at least we can get it here.

It works freaking wonders. I just dumped it on the tar paper. Waited a little while for it to freeze, hit it with a hammer and the tar breaks off in chunks. Perfectly clean metal underneath as well.

 

You can get dry ice at a local grocery store. You must be 18 to years of age (US) to purchase. I would use search, find removing tar - or weight reduction, someone just did an intense article about it, it was very cool...

It was much easier for me. Freeze it and hit it with a hammer and it just chunks away. You get no scrapes on the sheet metal and it all comes away clean. I'm just using a 16oz carpenters hammer.

 

just get a can of dust off... the computer cleaner.... hold that **** upside down and it will freeze it with the liquid that squirts out..... and dont forget to hit that ****.... the best 1-3 seconds evAr....!

 

you can get it at any welding store.... put some in a 20oz soda bottle with some water, it will start to bubble, cap it tight and stand back cause that son of a b*tch is gonna be loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! me and my friend do that and it actually blew the grass away around where we put the bottle. It is like a cannon going off!!!! Just thought id share that!!!

 

dry ice works on minor dents well also

it causes the metal to expand and contract (cooling it with dry ice, then letting it warm back up), allowing the dent to work itself out somewhat.

 

you can always clal up your local baskin robins and ask where they get thier dry ice.

 

I got it at the drive-through liquor store (which is a brilliant idea itself). They sell it for keeping kegs cold.

NO NO NO... that puts you in SERIOUS risk of having the can explode...

there is stuff made for removing gum from carpets... it does the same thing only it's designed to.

it's called gumout... or freezespray... those are 2 kinds I know there are more.. you should be able to get them at a good hardware store or maybe an office supply store.

 

I put a bit on some dents in my Prelude. It made them go down noticeably. They aren't gone, though. Just put a bit on for about 45 seconds, take it off and let it warm up, repeat.

Best technique i've found for pulling dents/dings wtih dry ice is: take a small chunk of the ice (2"x4"x4"ish), wrap it in a soft cloth (paper towel'll work), then rub the ice filled cloth over the dent for a moment then let it warm back up, repeat this a few times and...voila! It takes some time and patience but it's cheap and effective.
