the quesiton is i got a free high performance filter and i put it on...the thing is that i took the protective covering that surounded the stock filter but there is this one long metal piping that jus chillin there with no protective covering...i was wondering if anyoen knwos what this is cause i dont and if it is important how should i solve this problem...thanx peace

 

did you actually take the stock air filter apart?

 

well not exactly, i took apart the black box that covers the main stock filter...but the thing was there was this long cylinder pipe that was connected to it...now its there by itself jus chillin and i was wondering if it is important to close it up or but the filter box covering back over it?????? thanx peace
