well, here's the story; i have a 92 accord ex with an f22a6 in it, with about 210,000 miles on it. mods include aem short ram, greddy sp exhaust, msd wires and a high flow cat. until recently the car has been running like a champ, then the other day as i was going up a fairly steep hill, i shifted into 3rd and i here this noise like marbles in a can rattling under the car. it doesn't seem to make the noise in 1st and 2nd, but 3rd-5th, when the engine is under a load (like going up a hill) it does it until the rpms hit about 2700. i took it to my mechanic to hear his thoughts and he said it was probably spark knock and could be due to bad gas and the fact that my timing was advanced a bit too much. we put the timing back to stock specs and it made the noise die out a bit, but its still there. the other catch is that i burnt through a quart of oil in less than a week (mobil 1), which i usually go through in a month or more. so wtf??? anyone have any ideas??? i was planning on doing an h22 swap, but not for a year or so! thanx!

 

oh yeah, the car doesn't seem to have lost any power, and the oil isn't dripping out the bottom, i hope my baby isn't trying to cash in her chips!
