Thanks for the exhaust suggestion guys! I appreciate it! I ended up going with a Bosal system (mainly because I can get it at cost, and I've had Bosal before and I liked them).

Here's the next question ... I was considering punching through the catalytic converter, but there is an O2 sensor in it. If I knock it through, and the O2 sensor "detects" too much emission gasses, will it screw up my timing and fuel mixture? Or should I just let the cat go (it is in great shape after-all). Will knocking the cat through make a difference, or am I wasting my time (and the environment)? Cheers!

 

dont f-ck the cat up..btw you have obd1 or 2??
if you have two your car prolly will throw a code when you have a hallowed out cat.

if you have to have it, just get one made, high flow cat cost about 100buck, they are legal too, or have a test/straight pipe made(with a o2 bung) for 30 buck at local muffler shop. that way you can take it out and put the oem cat back in in case of anything like selling the car, get caught driving without one, etc.

check local/state law too..

 

what if you relocated the 02 sensor before the cat? would that work?
