throttle and intake manifold on D16z6
is there anyway i can get a B16 or B18 throttle body to fit on the D16.. im pretty sure my manifold would have to be matched to it.. but can u take the b16 or b18 throttle and manifold and fit it to a D16 head .. im just looking to breathe a little better ..whats my best bet?
He's right, the ls will work for you. as far as the IM goes, if you are running a z6, swap to a y8 mani. Other than that, you don't need anything bigger for most normal apps. If you are boosted, sure, otherwise you are going to see power loss if you go too big.
thanks alot guys ..ive heard the Y8 is the "type R manifold" of civics or something lol .. what makes it better than the Z6 manifold?.. thanks for the info on too big is bad otherwise i woulda wasted a good couple hundred .. so i should put a D16y8 mani and a b18 throttle on that .. will it help or just be a waste..
ps. is the y8 mani gunna need to be bored out to fit the 62mm opening of the throttle.. ?

My opinion? Save your money, the TB isn't going to make a big enough difference to justify buying it and port matching it to the mani. If you do decide to go with it, yes, you should taper out the mani to match the TB. Spend your money somewhere else where it will make a better improvement on power.
