sup fellas. I wasn't sure what shifter I wanted to go with when I do my swap. I used to have a B&M and it was awesome and made shifting more quick with tight shifts but kinda sits too far up front for me, so I was figuring a dual bend perhaps. but in any event let me know what you got, how you like it personally and some pics would be great if possible. thanks

 

Stay stock. I will never use an afterMarket short throw ever again on a honda tranny. They don't give the synchros the short time they NEED to mesh. They are terrible for Honda trannies. My opinion of course, courtesy of my spare time!

are you fawkin serious? also, do you really know what a short shifter is?

I know that would really shorten the shift(only cause you're basically grabbing lower on the shifter) but damn that's way too ghetto.. I'd be afraid my shifter would break in two jsut driving around one day..

what swap are you getting , gsr or itr would be nice

 

I got a type r swap. with the shifter. I liked the shifter positioning in my friends type r and it felt prettty tight like my B&M without being so far up front. you think I should just use the type r shifter. I also got someone who'll hook me up with a skunk2 dual bend but it seem pretty much similar to the type r except the color and the dual bends are a little more dramatic.

i've heard good things about skunk2 and dc sports. my friend had a gsr shifter in his hatchback. it wasn't necessarily shorter shift throw but it sure had a nice feel to it. i'd get a gsr shifter in my del sol if it didn't stick up so high.

i have the b&m EDGE short shifter, stabilizer bushing, and that lil nuetral adjust bushing..over 200 bucks...why i pay all that??? well it feels like a s2000 shifter...and those of u who have driven one knows...

I agree! Which is why a daily driven car should stick with a stock shifter unless you are at high rpms all day long.

Short shifters and low rpms don't mix unless you shift slower.

I, personally, think this is also why alot of ITR owners have such notchy shifting. Including me. The higher rpms I am at, the smoother it shifts.

 

I'm running an OEM GSR shifter w/ my b18b swap in my EG hatch...plan on going skunk2 shifter and ****!

But hey its your money... get whatever you like.

 

On my daily driver hatch I use a B&M Edge it's a straight line. It does the job and was worth the cash it's solid and won't break. And for me it's a ton better than the stock feeling. BIGTIME

On my track hatch I use a DC Sports shifter, never had a issue with it and honestly love the position and feeling of it a ton more than the B&M. I honestly don't see why some one needs to slam throw gears as hard as they do to make one of these puppies break.

DC Sports. i've used them in all 4 of my hondas, never had a problem
