Sputtering after timing belt adjustment?
I was replacing my axle a couple days ago and loked over and noticed my timing was off, I replaced the timing belt and made sure I had it TDC well it must of slip or something becuase it was not on TDC.
So I took the valve cover off, and put everything to TDC, Started it and it started sputering at idle not a constant sputtering just every now and then, I advanced the timing and the sputtering stopped at idle but was still noticable when applied a luttle gas, I am 98% sure the timing is correct, I put the two upper cranks with the line on the block and pot the lower crank pulley TDC straight up with the white line to the circle mark on the Timing cover, anyone have any idea what this could be?

If it's an Si you don't line up the lines w/ the top of the block, there's a mark on the timing cover that you line up a mark with on the cam gear.
my motor is a b16a engine, the only line I see is not a line it is a circle looking thing on the timing cover, I couldn't see a line, but everything else seems to be good besides the camshaft pulley?
everything seems to be lined up right. can the cam gears be fucked up there are markes on both sides whitch markes have to be lined up ? if you have the wrong marks lined up will it run like ****?
