How Many Cars Does Karl Own That Are Currenly Operational?
Karl owns 4 vehicles...
1. Busted *** MG (AKA: Parts Shelf)
2. Integra GSR Race Car (AKA: Busted *** Piece of ****)
3. Suburban (AKA: The Short Bus)
4. BMW 325e (AKA: "Unfortunately, the best car I own.")
Given that the MG is a dead giveaway, we'll start the bidding at 3...

I'd vote, but you didn't have any choices for negative numbers. Everyone knows Karl has such an effect on cars that the next two or three that he'll buy in the future are probably already broke.
You really don't know the irony of this post...
We had an autocross this weekend, and Karl co-drove with MaddMatt. There was talk of Karl towing the Sentra to the event, but the Suburban wouldn't start, so they drove up separately.
Well, here's the "fun" part. I store my trailer next to Karl's and when I was picking mine up (new and NOT busted), I noticed that the right rear tire of Karl's trailer was flat. It had blown out and the tread was haning in pieces.
I told Karl aobut it on Saturday and he really didn't believe me. Well, it's true, not only is his tow vehicle busted, but his trailer is too!

It depends on how one defines "Operational."
1. I fixed the MG a little yesterday. I was out of paper towels, so I went to Costco and got another 12 pack of Bounty (Thanks Renee). Replaced empty space on passenger side with new pack of paper towels...all better.
2. Integra GS-R Race Car - not really busted so much as disassembled. CRX Lee has my Konis, and the pimpy new roadracegear.com splitter is assembled and could be on the car in 5 minutes.
3. Suburban - I fixed the "it won't start" problem. At this past weekend's autocross I talked to a Chevy guru, he asked me how the truck was. I answered, not so good...it won't start. His response? "If it has two cables going to the positive battery terminal [it does indeed], tighten that. They're notorious for backing out." Get home, tighten battery terminal...truck starts right up.
4. BMW - brake master cylinder is in not-so-good shape but the car is perfectly drivable. It cost me 1000 bucks and is the best car I own - A/C works, good stereo, starts up fairly easy (though that idle control valve is kinda busted).
People, it's not easy being me.

I love ya man. Just dont touch anything I own.
Don't touch me either. I'm still trying to figure out at what point you may have touched my lumbar region. I'm sure this whole herniated disk thing has something to do with your Sadim Touch.
PS - Sadim would be Midas... backwards.

Nicholson came to the same conclusion this weekend.
Hey Matt...that sound is not my fault. Really. It's the springs.

Everything you touch turns to **** instead of gold.
I just did the math and realized between us, we flogged the hell out of my SE-R for about 20 solid minutes this weekend. That's alot of abuse in a short time.

Stop trying to rationalize it.
Its pretty simple. Karl drove your car.
Just make sure you use clean syringes. There's alot of nasty viruses (viri?) out there.

Man... you guys totally crack me up. And the best part is it's all 100% ture. Poor Karl... I'd hate to be responsible for everyone else's busted ****.
And Karl... even though you did blow the motor on the yellow car, the slave cylinder on the black car, and the fuel pump on the Tahoe, I still
you.

My name is Mike, and I am the anti-Karl.
Let me tell you all a little story. It's all Karl's fault. I met him when he chased me home one day in 97 when he and I were driving stock GS-Rs, and he wanted to know if I would sell my wheels to him so he could get "stickies" for this "autocross" thing. I saw the Bondurant sticker on his car. Then it was all over for me. I can blame Karl for the following 100+ events I ran, at least 3 cars I have purchased, the truck and trailer, my new house and garage, and my financial distress.
My cars always work. Karl has driven them all. Autocross and track. I even had an MG. It worked flawlessly, even when Karl was driving it. An MG. The car that will typically burn to the ground due to changes in humidity.
There is only one obvious explanation. I have stolen Karl's mechanical Mojo.
Here's where the story gets weird.
My first car was a 1984 Honda Accord Hatchback. Karl had a 1985 (?) Honda Accord.
My next car was a 1990 CRX Si. At the same time, Karl had a 1988 CRX Si.
Then I stepped up to a 1997 Integra GS-R. When I met Karl, he was driving a 1995 GS-R.
Before the GS-R, I had rescued and restored an MGB. Then Karl got an MGB (against my recommendations).
Here we diverge for a while. I get an E30 BMW, sell the MGB, and get a Miata. Finally the car curse is over.
No! By then Karl had bought a Suburban. Following his logic, I also decide a Suburban is right for a tow rig, and sell the GS-R.
Then he gets an E30! When will the madness end?
Not to be outdone, this year I bought 2 Civics in 4 months. What will Karl buy next?

Karl, Mike, et al.
First of all Whitney, the only reason your cars can resist SARS Shultz is your predilection for spreadsheets. I mean, they are so overwhelmed by the fact that you have a spreadsheet for what to do while taking a chit posted on your bathroom wall that they are scared to break.
Karl, you need to just screw trying to make your crap run and look nice and move out to a farm like Al Taylor. No matter how much busted junk he has, there are always another 20 or 30 cars around, and one of them usually will run. Hell, he at least has the bio-deisel race car around, green is good, right?
Diane, anyone that will still hang out with a guy that blew up two (2) of your miata motors just is not that smart. But, you got me this craptacular job a couple of years ago, so I have no reason to like you anyway!
Giles, you just bring your ITB.5 (since we all know it wasn't quite ITC) car up here for a couple of days, and SARS boy will screw it up so bad that they will bring back ITD for your busted ***.
NC bitches: Banditos in either Durham or Hboro for dinner tonight. Whitney, I need to get Karl's SPARCO from you at some point, so you have to come.

Where in NC does Karl live? Anywhere near I85/I77? I think I finally have the explanation for the leaking axle seal that I experienced this past weekend.
