East Coast Honda Challenge questions...........
In the rule book for hybrids, when it states something is "free" such as brakes. does this mean I can run stock brakes from any honda or can i run brembo's or such?
Thanks
Thanks
Free means that part is open to any modification, but only that specific part.
Example, "brake pads are free" means you may run any pad you want, but you cannot change the caliper, rotor etc.
"brakes are free" means the entire system, calipers, rotors, pads, hats, etc may be modified any way you would like, but the things the brakes attach to cannot such as the upright, spindle, hub, etc.
EDIT: I should add, the philosophy of the hybrids in HC is you may build a car out of any stock Honda part but you can use aftermarket parts only where allowed by the rulebook.
