First thing you should do is consider what type of bottom end you'd like to go with. If you're just looking for any Vtec motor, then you could probably find a 1st gen B16 swap pretty cheap, which is a 1.6, and it has the cable tranny you need. If you're looking for something with some more torque, you could look for a GSR swap, but it's going to definately cost more. Good luck, and search

check classifieds, or search online. Learn to spell vtec first before you go on spending a few grand on a motor, no offense. http://www.hmotorsonline.com to give you an idea
