HELP d16z6 into a 90 si HELP
whats the wiring diagram on the distributor? i used the crx harness with the d16 distrbutor, and it will fire for just a second but if you try to restart it without turning the key off nothing happens. All of the colors matched up except 2 and i had to reverse them to get it this far. Now ive done the searches and found nothing, but this was the way i was told to do it? I am a prelude person and looks like i should stick the the honda big block

I could never get my D16Z6 to run either... Swapped an A6 head on to it and started right up ( its still idling funny but it started first time ).
If your interested in a OBd1 conversion I have a P-28, OBD1 dizzy, and convertion harness from blown90hatch, but they didn't solve my D16z6 troubles.
I tried 2 different ecus, 2 different dizzys, and 2 different sets of injectors, to no pay-off, but put my A6 head on the D16Z6 block with PM6 reinstalled with Z6 intake and it started right up.... One p-28 is gone, but I have 2 dizzys ( want to trade for an Si/A6 dizzy ), and the conversion harness still.
BTW the two different wires if switched and the car still doesn't start shouldn't be your problem, but then again my SOHC Vtec never ran...
