what kind of horsepower and torque (general) should i expect out of this setup?
setup:
b18c1 block with je 12:1 pistons
1st gen b16 head with type r valves, springs, retainers, cams and intake manifold
stock type r exhaust manifold and 2.25 in piping with stock cat and hks hyper muffler
aem cold air intake
any general guess's? i was thining right below a stock type r's rating

Yeah you will be below a type R's rating, I would assume lower 170whp
Perhaps you should reconsider some of the setup?
Try OEM pistons ie...JDM ITR .25 OS
R cams or somthing little better (toda A, Skunk Stg.1)
And get A decent header with 2.5" collector and 2.5" exhaust!
This will yeild you upwards of 190WHP and You will not have to worry about the problems with running higher compression!

well with a b18c1 bloack with a b16 head and 12:1 compression pistons gor a gsr block my compression will actually be around 11:1 because of the b16 head

Actually your Wrong, If the pistons are Supposed to yeild ~12:1 CR in a GSR engine, You will Yeild ~11.8:1 CR with a B16a Head!
The b16A head Is only 0.2 lower compression then a GSR head!

It is possible, But with lowered Timing (14 deg. BTDC)
You will know if you get one bad tank of gas though, Being you will get some detonation!
