Si into HF, diff harness plug
My friend just got a project 88HF and we're putting his old 88 Si motor and harness and tranny in it.
Its all in but he's having trouble with a plug mismatch. By the resistor box the green one plugs up fine. On his Si the other plug is round. The HF chasis(going to inside) harness is square, with more wires then the round one.
Anybody know which wires are needed to keep? Or which sensors the HF has that the Si doesn't. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going over later this week to look at it. Just wondering if anybody's seen this.
Thanks

you can use the HF one to make it easier you never had to swap it out but if you insist on keeping the si one your gonna have to take out the EGR and thats about it
harness arent compatible like that......you got an 88 SI body....use an 88 SI harness..... you cant interchange them like that....honda made the pinouts different at the engine connector
Try to use the same wire from the chassis you are running. If you are putting in the SI motor into the HF, then use the engine harness from the HF onto the SI motor.
( keep the veins with the body and only transplant the heart)
You will have a 3 wire connector on your HF near the distributor that you will not use on the SI engine.
It hurts me to see you going through the trouble to swap in a D16a6 into that HF. Bring that HF over here to Minnesota and let me B-series that badboy!!
