Default Shifting without the clutch?

I shifted without using the clutch a few days ago... I just want to know if this is bad for your car or not... just wondering...

USELESS. Use the clutch. If you have plenty of money and are using your tranny for "experimental" purposes then try it. Just remember it will **** up your tranny.

The only time to do this is if your clutch doesn't work.

I always use a clutch. However, on a rental car or when I'm messing around I only need to use the clutch for 1st gear.

Find the perfect shift point, the slide it into gear, if you grind, then you havent found the perfect shift point. So in other words, don't try it unless you know you can do it!
