Fluidyne in GSR: Problem with fan--Need help
I realized late on Saturday that I needed a radiator, so I finally found a place where I bought a fluidyne. So this morning I went to install, it was a pain of sorts but I finally did. Now the problem is I have no place to bolt the small fan on the radiator like the stock did. It's the condenser fan on the driver's side.
I know I should've looked more careful but it evaded my attention since I took the fan out early. also, it doesn't seem to sit correctly on the lower cushioning spots, so the top ones are kind of off.
OK, I just found the answer on the Fluidyne site, My question now is, can I run the car without the condenser fan for a couple days? The place where I bought it didn't say anything. What does the condenser fan do? thanks

Yeah, or you can be like me and have the AC fan on the freaking time sucking away precious horsepower...
I can't figure out why it's on all the time.

Thanks for the replies. Did you just cut the existing wires and reuse the Honda connections or does the fan come with everything you need? TIA
The fan I bought (came from AutoZone) had the wiring and mounting kit included. However, I did still cut the wiring connector off the OEM fan, so the connection would be weather-tight. I just soldered and sealed the splice from the OEM wiring connector to the afternarket fan wires. On the new fan, there will be two wires. Be sure to get the wires connected correctly, as reversing the two changes the direction of rotation of the fan. You want the fan to suck air in, through the radiator, rather than blow air out of the front of the car.
Good luck with the install. It's pretty easy.
