Default t1r vs spoon b-pipe

searched and didn't find anything, hopefully some1 can help.

Are they the same (ie, piping size and length). I was wandering why every1 runs the t1r b-pipe w/ the spoon n1 axelback.

TypeOne and Spoon are the same.

"HCI: I understand you are building a new facility in Tokyo. Is this part of your support system for global expansion?
SPOON: Yes, Spoon created Type One. Its focus is customer service. Type One supports our partners in Japan and all over the world, while Spoon continues to strengthen its R&D activities. Both organizations maintain the same spirit: "We Love Racing." The synergy or our two organizations captures the essence or trust, truth and excitement in our business."

In other words, the TypeOne B-pipe is fine

so then why does every1 run the t1r b-pipe? Is it cheaper?

I though maybe it was b/c of the fact that the overall length of the spoon header was longer and therefore, the b-pipe was different or something.

the TypeOne's were cheaper and the Spoons had rattling issues.

although some of the T1's haven't been as good of quality of late.

If it were my money I'd go with the T1R (of the two).

ultimately though, I'd go with a setup like from: http://www.accordinglydone.com...t.php

The Spoon N1 is too loud for my taste, while the setup (above link) is much more barable and significantly less.

That's what everyone tells me. I have no one around me w/ a spoon N1 so I'll take the ~$300 hit and find out for myself. Ive only heard sound clips.

I figured the spoon name would bump up the price a little.

BTW, i'm on your comptech lip groupbuy. Damn dude, you're everywhere.

Why not just get a 2.5" piping made at a muffler shop? Piping is piping.

Most people that say the Spoon N1 is loud and unbearable are ones who have them on Integra-R's, have rode in an R with that exhaust, or have only heard from R owners. It's a different story when it's on a GS-R. Remember the GS-R has sound deadening (LS/GS also).

You'll be good.
