Guys,
I got a virus from a Patrick Seto email, named W32.Sircan.Worm@mm. It is NASTY. You receive an email with an attachment and when you open the attachment you can be screwed - BIG TIME. This is how it works. Once an email account is infected, that email account will send out more emails to addresses list in the address book. The email will carry an attachment taken randomly from the infected computer's hard drive. Once you open that attached file, you've got it. The email will start something like "Hi, how are you?" and end with "See you later". The virus will generate some verbage in between those 2 lines.
DO NOT OPEN ANY EMAILS FROM ME IN THE PAST 2 DAYS. DON'T OPEN ANYTHING FROM PATRICK SETO. I believe his computer is still infected since I've gotten 2 more identical emailings from him.
To learn more about the virus go to http://www.symantec.com and also update your Norton Anti Virus. If you have the virus or got a questionable email, immediately disconnect yourself from the internet (phone, dsl or cable). DO IT NOW. Then get directions on how to get rid of the virus from a friend.
Now for the damage, 1 in 20 chance of deleting all files on your hard drive and 1 in 33 have a chance of filling all remaining disk space with text files.
I hope no one has gotten it from me, although I suspect 2 or 3 may have.
Moderators, please keep this at the top.
My email addresses that you could get are
dstadulis@carolina.rr.com

Yep.. This virus e-mail thing is very annoying.. I got e-mailed 5 times with this thing already.
Make sure you update your virus scanning programs or else it doesn't recognize it, even if you have the latest DAT files.
I upgraded mine to Norton Antivirus. It will pick it up and quarantine it for you.

Sorry guys..I have NO idea what the hell is going on. I have my ICQ list going nuts about why I sent all these messages to people...
I must have gotten this bug like 2 days ago when I received an email with a supposed blank attachment file.
JEESUZ.... I'm TAKING immediate action now.

I got that e-mail and tried to download it as I was used to gettting things from Patrick, but it would not download on my computer, it just said something about me not having enough conventional memory in order for it to download I would have to change my memory type ?, dunno what that means, hope it hasn't done any damage though. Nothing noticed yet.
