When I first start my car and begin to drive there is nothing. After a while (warms up suficiently) when i shift from 1>2 or 2>3 i hear this kind of popping noise from my exhaust. Like in between shifts right when i step on the gas again. Any ideas on what it could be? [1995 gsr, apexn1, p28chipped]

 

that is just the noise an exhaust makes.....it is just a lot more noticeable with a free flowing exhaust

 

Its alot worse with NA cars with their super loud for no reason exhausts.... I mean my turbo teg with a 3" (bigger then your average aftermarket exhaust) doesn't pop and fart anywhere near as much as the ricer civics and tegs in my area.

Which 3" are you running...? All 3" exhausts I've heard pop alot more than most N/A cars, except the ones running around with no muffler at all, just a PepBoys tip...

My exhaust isn't exactly a 3" but it does pop and backfire alot... I'm running the Greddy PE2... 70mm...

 

ok good just makin sure its normal... kind of annoying sometimes oh well.

 

haha..i was just thinking about that about my exhaust earlier....wtf is that popping noise....man...sounds like farting...if it wants to pop...i'd rather it be loud as hell and more aggressive than little queefs...
