Default Dealership confusion?

I went by the local Honda dealership today to get all the info on an S2000 and maybe order one. I asked when the 04 would be hitting the floor and they said they weren't sure. I asked if it would be a 2.2L and he said yes. he then continues to say it would probably have an electric hardtop. THEN he said it will be badged as an Acura in the next 1-2 years. What do you guys think about the hardtop and Acura badging? I haven't heard anything about it, so I was very sketchy. Should I go to a different dealership to buy?

some dealers are sometimes pretty naive. when i was 18, i went a mitsubishi dealership to look at an Eclipse GSX. Popped the hood, and the dealer pointed to an open area that he said is open so you can put an extra cylinder.
needless to say, i didn't stay at the dealership too long.

I went back yesterday to get info on buying a couple cars. I talked to a nice salesman but he didn't know what kind of discount it would be. So he took me to the dealer, dealer asked my name, then he said I'll take care of you. My dad used to call on that dealership when they still had Cadillac and I guess the dealer remembered.

Sorry for the off topic post, but what how DOES an IS300 compare with an S2000?

Back on topic: Acura was upset that the S2000 came out as a Honda, upscale branding and all. I cant see it any other way though. There has been talk of an S2000 chassis and engine based coupe for Acura.

If the salesman know your not gonna buy a car on that day they'll mess with you. Some are actually nice and will help you out and some would just wanna mess with you.

Agreed. CRXForum did a "study" on this and there are lots of reasons why salespeople are rude. The only conclusion I can come to on why the salesman was rude to me was my age, as he saw what I pulled in with.
