Just Let me say..................................
No matter what stupid *** question i asked yall were there to help me or schold me. i thank all of u for ur praise and criticism. I embark on a new task 0311 in the United States Marine Corps for a 4 year term. when i am out of boot camp i will post if i can. HONDA_TECH forever Semper FI yall have helped more than u can imagine

good luck..i'm in the air force...why choose the Marines and make your life so hard?...being in the Air Force is just like having a 9-5 job..its great..

if that's the case why join Air Force in the first place. at least in the civilian world you could get paid more and get overtime pay.
theres alot of military former and present personal on H-T so keep your pussyass comment to yourself. so for the rest of people on here, I gotta represent the "Corps." against put downs like this
I joined the Marine Corps just because of that: it's HARD. if I wanted a 9-5 job I would've stay home and live a regular life with a regular job. I wanted a challenge, something different in my life that's why I joined the Marine Corps and after 9+ yrs in it I haven't even once regret it. BTW to the orginial poster: never "thank" the Drill Instructor for anything.....you'll know what I mean when you get there

Kudos to you and your enlistment. I actually just enlisted as well...In the USAF.
My reasons are similar to the ones stated. I want the chance to further my education, complete my degrees, and serve my country. I didn't want extensive weapons training and daily drills. I wanted to work in engineering, navigation, ballistics, etc. I chose the USAF because of the school mainly.
Good luck with the Marines, they are highly respected...I wish you luck with your career.
