Just got my first CRX last friday, what to do first?
I just got my CRX, black 90 Si with 274k on odometer. It turn out that the car was a passed me down car from mother to daughter. I was surprised how good the interior and the engine is for an 11 years old car. Got it for $2k, for those who wants to know. Well, it is in the shop right now for radiator replacement, shortshift, and a check up before I start beat the crap out of it. Well, it is going to be my daily driver for a couple of while before I start to do anything major to it. However, what mod is good for the CRX? I appreciate any comment. Thanks
Mack
WOOHOO!!!
I still excited to drive my first CRX. Damn, I was not this excited when I got my GSR.

A good first mod for an 11 year old car is something to tighten up the suspension a bit. It's certain to be a bit loose after that long. I recommend getting some strut braces and sway bars... cheap and effective mods. Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the CRX cult

or poly bushings
im gonna do that to my 91 Si hatch
thats alot of miles for that car
i got mine with 98k
but if its in good condition and they changed the oil its all good!
congrats and welcome to the family!

definitely suspension, gives crx's a nice sleeper look, drop it a little. Hey raeneshadow we really need more members for the crx cult, im tired of us slaughtering all those chickens ourselves man.
Thanks guys. I am doing a lot of research into which part will fit into the REX. My previous ricer was a 98 GSR and 99 SI. The GSR was replaced by a 2 seater. So, anything about the REX is new to me. I guess I would do bushing, strut, and shock first. A friend suggest that LS+B16A tranny will be good for everyday use and occasion track, not to mention that the price is pretty reasonable for that setup. I, on the other hand, have been looking at B16A or B20Z. Who knows, this is just preparation stage-no hurry here.. I hope that the stock engine will be nice to me for the next 10k or so. Maybe I should run it took 350-400k and sale it took Honda dealer for couple grand more. After all, this car is totally stock.
Once again, any suggestion welcome..

I would check out your bushings first- most likely your rear trailing arm bushings are destroyed- Mine are at 193,000- I just ordered some prothanes- I just can't wait to do that fun job.
