i was wondering if the 4-spd std model civic are a good candidate for b16 swap, what extra parts needs to be changed. And for the swap, how would it differ from a dx or si model. thanks

 

nothin differs between the dx and std with regards to engine swaps. the si already has MPFI and the two extra wires to the distributor. the 4spd doesnt matter in the swap since you swap the transmission. you can even keep your 4 speed **** for that sleeper look. the std is also the lightest then the dx then the si. the si has more options. it all depends on what you want to do with your car.

 

my hatchback is an 89 dx, did the b16 swap and i've never been happier. also do the rear disc conversion while your at it, you'll definitely need it. the car might look like crap but it flies like a bat out of hell. pluse i did all sorts of other mods while i was at it. inquire if interested and i'll tell about my ongoing b16 saga.
