Hello.
I just got a blue cargo tray for my 90 Si, and I got it in blue. the interior of my car is black, and I would like to dye it. does anyone have any input on this ? is it going to look like sh|t ? let me know. Thanks in advance.

haha, i was thinking the exact opposite. I got a black cargo cover, and my interior's blue, lol. I think im just gonna keep mine black though cause ive heard a few horror stories about dying fabric.
I redid my own, it was very easy really. Rip off the original carpet, get some automotive carpet that they sell in rolls at the local autoparts store, I got mine at oreilly. Buy some trim adhesive spray and some vinyl dye. Dye the plastic, let it dry, then cut the carpet to the correct size and glue it in place. Looks brand new. Or you guys can trade.
They sell the cheap stuff at a local autoparts stores, but find an automotive paint store or a place like Dr Vinyl, maybe an automotive vinyl top place should have the good stuff. Costs like $8 for a can of the good stuff, can't quite remember the brand it is. Clean plastic really good with alchohol first though. Goes on like spray paint.

I went to a Custom Upholstery shop where I live, bought a can of black carpet & upholstery dye... Turned out great, will try to get some pics up when my sis returns from the Keys with my DigiCam
