OT: "The Art of Ferrari" @ Chrysler Museum PICS
"La Bella Macchina: The Art of Ferrari" is an exhibit of 12 significant Ferraris at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, VA through July 20th.
I went back yesterday and managed to get a few decent pics, despite the fact that flash photography was not allowed. Teasers:

See my entire gallery here:

PS- Bookler, I'm sorry I couldn't get better pics of the blue one you love so much; the lighting was sub-standard in that area. Perhaps elgorey got some better ones?
Good stuff,
Jon

What's wrong with not using flash with a camera? Nothing! A handhold down to 1/2 second (even 1 second) just takes practice, proper bracing, and controlled breathing . Flash photography can also ruin the mood of pictures too...making them blahhh if you are inexperienced or don't have a camera with TTL flash capabilities while using a good bounce/swivel flash unit.
Those pictures aren't acutally that bad...pretty decent actually. Just a little blurry.
Vracer111, amature photographer and a certified Olympus OM "Zuikoholic"....meaning I only use Olympus equipment for my photography gear - except for medium format (since Olympus doesn't do medium format); I have an awesomely sharp Fuji GS645S for medium format.

If anyone heads through Vegas, there's a cool "Art and History of the Motorcycle" exhibit in the Gugenheim inside of the Venice hotel/casino. Everything from steam-powered wooden bikes to radial engines (inside the front wheel!) to paris-dakar bmws.

I thought mine turned out ok, considering it's been 12 years since my high school photography class.
I was using a $200 Fuji digital POS from Wal-Mart at 2MB and mostly manual settings. I would've brought the tripod if I'd known there was no flash photography allowed, just to help with steadying my hand for those long exposures...
PS- If you think the ~70 on my page were blurry you should see the ~200 others I came home with, those were REALLY blurry.
Jon
*sigh* who wishes he had the time/energy/money for
another hobby, esp one as gratifying as photography *sigh*
