?? 97 hatch, d16y7 does anyone know. is it exedy???

That's the general rumour.

I got a Exedy OEM replacement for a 1st gen B16 I bought for my daily driver integra. The one we took out of the B16 tranny and the Exedy OEM looked identical.

ive had an Exedy clutch for about 5-6k miles now and its still good. got it for cheap too!

Not sure the clutch just went in the swap. The swap just went in the car. I'll let you know in a few months.

I have an Exedy in my hybrid and its doing fine (organic single plate.

went ahead and got the basic exedy kit. got it cheap yeah 114 bucks. im sure it will be better than most crap ones you get from parts stores like pepboys etc. plus it has a 12k/1 year warranty on it which helps i guess

Daikin Clutch/Exedy make most of the O.E Honda clutches.

I never understood the hype over the Exedy clutches in terms of them holding lots of power or gripping any harder, but they are quality units.

Honda does things for a reason. I'm sure the quality leads them to choose the Exedy clutches, but i'm sure they get them hella cheap too.

Yeah they are exedy, I got the organic race w/ the 8.5 lb flywheel. It's straight. I think I might do a sprung 6-puck next time though.
