Currently I have Ground Controls (450f/450r), Koni, ST 25mm sway bar front and rear. I am more set up for autocrossing but I am moving to more of a road racing setup soon. I have another set of Konis that I got revalved for road racing and I am wanting to get higher rate springs, probably 600 front, 700 rear. Last time I weighed my Type SH it was a little less than 2850 pounds with roll cage. My lude was about 2930 pounds stock.

cool ****
eheh

so what is the feeling of ur car with equal spring rates and the sways ?
doest it oversteer alot ?

how do u fin 450lbs ? is it too hard for street ? ( shouldn't be )
would u consider going up more ?
what about weight..
where did u save that much weight from ?

CF hood ?
tell mee!!! ahah
i have same car as you ( excetp not SH )
and i'm really planning on keeping it for race/week end car..
so i'm now into spring rates and suspension setup design ...
need to get some weight off of it though

I find the car very neutral most of the time with the current setup. Some days it has a little more understeer and some days a little oversteer but usually I can dial it back to neutral with a little shock and tire pressure adjustment.
The 450f/r setup is very streetable and as I have gotten use to it I want to go even stiffer.
You can easily lose a few hundred pounds in the Prelude. Take out your rear seats and clear out your truck and that is close to 100 pounds. I have taken out most of the interior, everything in the trunk, and a few odds and ends elsewhere for my ~180# weight loss.
My plans do include a CF hood and a lighter battery from a civic and that should save another 50#.
I hope to get it under 2700 with cage and A/C.

super..

well it's sure that 450 is supposed to be very streetable cause the ITR is lighter and has 440 rates front and back ..( progressive back i think .. )

i personally wanna go more to something like 600-700 or 700-700 rates..
u say that ur car is still neutral with thoose spring rates ??
mm
that's cool..thought that it would start to really oversteer..
so a 600-700 might be more of what i want ..

wich sways are u using ?
u changed both front and rear ?
why ?
to pushit further ?

i was thinking more about changing only the rear one for a ST bar ..
;
if u wanna get another 30lbs off the front..
u can replace the inner front bumper holder by an aluminum frame..
the front bumper frame is at least 60 lbs and is only there to maintain a 7KM/h law .. u can easily get weight off by that..

a CF hood is supposed to weight only 20 pounds i was told..
and i'm pretty sure ( cause i've replaced mine ) that the stock hood is near 80-100 LBS ...

so that would be a really HUGE saving there..
but if u get a CF hood..u better use some aluminum bars and do struts bars..and maybe even add bars in the front near the radiator to help stiffen the front a little..cause i'm not sure but the hood might be used as a support piece ( i was told that reflection from a friend ) for the front of the car..

personally...next year if i keep this car forrace and stuff..
i'll go as crazy as u and remove lots of stuff ( no roll cage though that's for sure)
and have it look like NEW but with lots of weight off
ehehhe

so what do u think would be a PERFRECT solo 1/2 suspension setup for ur lude?;p

DAMN!! 2700 with the cage.. THAT IS DAMN GOOD FOR A 5G lude!!! Mine is 2700 now, my cage in on order as well so that will be about 2775 or so with that in there.. For racing purposes, I gotta take the AIRBAGS out and they are pretty heavy. A dry cell battery will help you loose weight as well, even more than the civic battery (won't work to well in canada) and had more cranking amps.. DR, if you ever wanna race, most racing groups don't allow CF hoods, just something to keep in mind.. I hope to get under 2600 with the cage and bumpers and stock body parts..
