Opinions on this motor build...
I purchased a spare jdm h22a longblock a few months ago to build up for N/A. I've got just about all I need, just waiting for a few parts.. just trying to get some of the "pro's" opinions on my build..
Block: H22A
Pistons: JDM TypeS Oversized (.25) 11.0:1
Rods: Stock (how high can one rev with stock rods? If rods were balanced/shot peaned, then how high could one rev?)
Crankshaft: Balanced & micropolished H22a crankshaft
Misc: Balance shaft removal kit, bead blasted, 12 coats of high temp silver
, all new gaskets/bearings.
Head: H22a (shaved 20 thousandts)
Valves: Skunk2 HighCompression valves (.2 bump in compression)
Springs: Skuink2
Retainers: Skunk2
Cams: Skunk2 Stage 2
Headgasket: Spoon Sports (.3-.4 cr bump)
Cam Gears: JUN
Misc: STR cam seal, arp studs, hondata intake manifold gasket
Intake: AEM cold air (2.75" piping), s2k t/b bored to 68mm
Exhaust: GReddy exhaust manifold, stainless testpipe, apexi n1 cat-back
Fuel: FPR, other than that stock, sufficent? If not, what do you recommend?
Transmission: Clutchmaster flywheel, clutchnet 6 puck sprung hub, looking for atr or euro accord r tranny (if you know where to get one, please contact me!)
Managment: P72 ECU equipped with Hondata S200
Currently waiting for the Skunk2 i/m to come out, if its not out by the end of July I'll opt for the Euro Accord R, also looking to have head work done, I was recommended to use portflow, anyone have any good/bad things to say about them? Opinions on this build? See parts listed that you would change for other parts? Please explain why.. See something that you feel my build up needs? Let me know. Plan on having the motor in the car by August, I have most of the parts sitting here in their boxes, just waiting on a few things. Thanks.
