Wheel wobbles on 91 accord
When I pick up speed, a loud vibration noise comes from the front passenger side tire. I can actually shake the tire. It almost feels like the lugs are a little loose. However, I tightened them to no avail. It still has free play. Does anybody know what is wrong?

Your problem is most likely the front wheel bearing. The way to check this is to jack the car up and grab the tire at 12:00 and 6:00 and wiggle it top to bottom. It is best if you can get someone to watch it from behind to see if they can see the hub wobbling while the knuckle remains still. If you can rock the wheel like that ... the bearing is probably shot. While doing this ... have someone look at the spot where the lower ball joint comes up through the knuckle. If it happens to be the ball joint ... you will see it rocking there. You should also take a look at the upper ball joint while doing this. You will be able to see it rock also if that is the problem.
Not trying to confuse you ... just giving you all the things that could cause what you are describing. MOST likely ... the bearing is shot ... but don't overlook the other items.
