I just put in an 89 Si 5sp tranny (L3) into my 89 hatch, and the speedometer won't work. I have the cable plugged in right (as far as I know) but nothing happens on the guage. The guage itself maybe be messed up though, I took it out for the first time last night. First time that its actually moved on its own.... But is there any special way to put those things in?

 

Did you put the clip on the cable to keep it in place??? I had similar problem with my ZC, i just got a clip and it worked right away..

 

Yeah, I put that little clip on there today. Haven't taken it out yet to see if it worked...
