Anyone know??? I asked a po-po the other day what our state decible limit is for an exhaust, and he's like "Most cops don't carry decible meters with them. If your exhaust is louder than stock then it's going to attract cops and the cops will get on your *** and look for other things on your car, don't WASTE your money on making loud sounds."
Obviously the cop has no idea.. but I think WA state db limit is 102...

cops dont "patrol" for noise decibel, or amount of lowering, blue lights etc. There are so many factors, I mean harleys are obviously louder than any exhaust but they are on the road. It can also depend on the mood the cop is in etc.

I heard that if you get pulled over, you can ask if the cop has a decibal reader. If he doesn't have one, then he cannot confirm that your car is exceding the decibal limit, thus he cannot give you a ticket.
can someone confirm this.
can someone confirm this.

Cops can more or less do whatever they want. YOU get screwed initially, but when it gets to court, the judge sets it straight. This is what I have deduced with my experiances from court and tickets anyway.
