Any new CW Type-R's left at Canada dealers?
Erin Mills Acura (near the Toronto Area) had about 11 in the lot when I was there 3 weeks ago.
I hope they are still there b/c it would make an incredible picture.

Damn. I might have to do the same thing if there's quite a few ITRs still in Canada... $31,500 CAD = $20,400 USD!

But if the $31.5K is before GST and PST, add 15% for taxes. You'll probably have to pay lots in duty and tariff at the boarder, because free trade doesn't apply to new cars. Even if it was a grand more than a US car, it's still worth it, IMO. CW, red seats, speedometer in KPH..... I do it if I had the chance.

I just thought that the only way I could get a Type-R from Canada would be to go through a broker is all. It seems like I was even told by Acura that they are not allowed to sell a car to someone from the US especially the Type-R's.
If anyone has concrete info on what I need to do to get this car short of moving to Canada please post. If I could just go to the dealer there and purchase one that would be great, I just don't think it is that easy. I did e-mail a few dealers in Alberta and am waiting for a respose from them now.
I will need the AC for sure here in Georgia and knew about the $900 freight as well from the Canada Acura site. It is good to know it would be cheaper to get in Alberta though. daytime running lights would be cool I guess. Other than that and KPH speedo and leather shift **** looks like on the Canada site the car is the same with carbon trim etc.
Thanks

Funny you should say that, I had a thread going on the ITRs at Erin Mills Acura about a month ago, they had bought out all remaining R's back in April/May. They had 14 at the time, and I couldn't get them all in the shot. I was just there on last Monday testing the RSX, and I counted 6 remaining on the lot that are unsold. None of them have the lower lip installed, they were inside the car.

Some more, champ white as far as the eye can see!!!

Cool pics TorontoR I hope to hear back from the dealers I e-mailed today. I really want to get a champ white Type-R if I can pull it off.
They definately have the most new ITR on hand. Some dealers have 0-2 on hand.
Maybe you might get a better deal since all the hype is with the RSX S now.

Thanks guys I have e-mailed Erin Mills and I hope they will be able to help me. Acura customer services for Canada does not seem to think it is OK for someone from the US to purchase a car in Canada for sure though.
There are at least two at Camco in Ottawa, Ontario (I say at least because they have a tendency to hide the extra ones in their warehouse so they can always be selling "the last one").
They didn't seem willing to play around with the price much and kept trying to guide me over to the RSX TypeS. My guess is there are better incentives for the salesman on the RSX.

I am waiting to hear back from a few dealers but the customer service center for Canada said they will not sell me a car anyway or assist me in getting one in any way for that matter. I will keep you posted though on what I hear.
Hey fro, I guess you're right, I didn't count the one inside, plus I recall there was another one in the garage, and the ones outside. But you can definitely get it under MSRP, I know the sales guy pretty well there.
Take to Rob Mackenzie at toll free 877-241-6827. Or email him at emacura@netcom.ca I believe there website is http://www.erinmillsacura.ca

i called em, asked them about selling me an ITR, the sales manager there said "IMPOSSIBLE" honda ruleswont allow it, you have to be a canadian citizen.
That's a LOAD of Crap! Man I can't believe Honda would put up that attitude. Call up Honda Canada, talk to the VP of customer service....I can't remember his name off hand...but his department sends out the customer sat surveys. They'll solve your problems.....GAWD! I mean you're willing to pay for it!
