I'm thinking about installing turn signals into my mirror housings to clean up the front fairings. Has anyone tried this on their bike? I think I'm pretty comfortable to do all the wiring, but I'd just like to see pictures if someone's done it before. TIA.

 

Sounds kinda fugly to me.

What are you going to do with the turn signal holes in your fairings then? Put the mirrors there?

naw, i'm gonna patch up the holes, then respray the fairings. just curious to see if anyone's done this before.

 

seems to me like it's too much work, unless you need to respray the fairing anyway

 

honda cbr1100XX has the turn signals in the mirrors. Lockhart phillips sell mirrors with turn signal in them also

 

I've seen it done. It cleans up the fairing and gives the offset benefit of stock long stalk signals as opposed to flushmounts. It kills your view though, not that it matters if you only see your shoulder.

 

Jason - Actually, I do need to have the fairings redone (previous owner dropped the bike), so that's why I was toying around with this idea.

tony - Well, since my mirrors give me such a breath-taking view of my elbows right now, I think it won't matter too much.
