Default Zc turbo overheating ??

hey ..
this all happened right after i got off the high way and stopped at a timmys .. when i got out there was alot of coolant on the floor. It was from the over flow bottle .. but it wasnt overheating on the high way from b4 so i started to wonder .... ok so on my way back home.. i take the high way agian . i drive along at a steady speed and notice it goes up about 3/4 then goes back down with in about a 2-3 min time period..

ne suggestions on what i should do to make it run cooler ? i already have a punched out thermostat.

my car does this, one of my friends is a mechanic and he said like when you run hard or on the highway your motor revs high for a extended time, then when you stop or slow down quite a bit your motor stops pumping as much water as it was when it was reved high, but the heat is still there. Try this, next time it does it, if you stop hold your foot on the gas and let it rev about 3,000 RPM. Thats what I do and it drops back down in around 5 sec. Hope this helps.
