lower control arm help

Default lower control arm help

my pass. lower control arm is bent foward, which has made my fork under my strut to twist. basically my steering is all out of wack! i don't know much, but from this pic, http://www.hondaautomotivepart...0.gif it looks like i can take those parts off with just simple tools. it looks easy, but is it. i don't want to start something that i can't finish. could you guys help??? also should i change the fork and the strut to be sure it's fixed??? thanx

The LCA isn't hard at all to take off. Just get a new one.

Yeah probably. You may want some needle nose pliars for getting that pin out of the castlenuts for the ball joint that is about it. Maybe a hammer to hit the LCA out of the ball joint or whatever.

You will probably need a socket set, a set of wrenches, a breaker bar, a mallet, and a pair of needlenose pliars. A can of liquid wrench or WD-40 will be helpful and a two-jaw puller makes it much easier to remove the lca from the lower ball joint.

The lowr ball joints are not that hard to mess with, but if they are already damamged, getting the castlenut back on will be a pain in the ***. The ball joint will keep spinning and you will have to find a way to keep it still while you tighten the castle nut. You may want to buy new ones before you start, if you think they are damaged.
