Whats up everyone. Ok, your the pro's, so here goes. Im buying a 89 crx SI, and i was wondering what engines wil lfit in this without changing the transmission. I have had some poeple tell me the ZC, or the integra LS. The reason i do not want to change the tranny is because there is a new clutch ($900) and supposively the b16 tranny won't match up to this clutch. What engines will fit without changing the tranny, or what engine/tranny would work with this clutch. I am not sure what kind of clutch, but the guy who im buyin it off said that it wouldn't match up to a b16 conversion. True? or False? Help me out here. I have a 93 civic, and the crx isn't exactly my field of study, so help me out please. Thanks all...appreciate it.

 

the only engines that fit your Si transmission are D-series engines - DOHC ZC, SOHC ZC, D16Z6, D16Y8 - probably the only ones worth swapping.
