Which wire is "hot"?

Default Which wire is "hot"?

I'm putting in a 4 wire o2 sensor and I need to know which wire is always on when my motor is running so i can use it as a hot source!!

uhm. battery? or you could run it off of the thick wires going into the fuse box under the hood. theres a million possibilities.

he means on the o2 sensor, right?
I don't think any of them are always on, but the two black ones are for the heater, it warms up the sensor in the beginning to give better readings when the motor is cold. EF_LSVTEC told me to connect the white wire to original o2 wire, put one of the blacks to a switched power source, and ground the other two (blue or green, and black). that's probably what you're looking for.

Yes.. Sorry, I should have been more clear...

now, any suggestions to a switched power source I could use?

You want to make the connection in the engine bay or at the ECU?
