Default Toda Spec B's on JDM stock CR?

Is it safe to run toda spec B's with toda valve springs on the stock JDM B18C-R 11.1 comp. Also using the Toda header if that matters.

<e> ugh </e>

people run it on stock USDM compression. people run it on 12:1 compression. people run it on 13:1 compression.

On USDM compression they can still use stock injectors.

<insert search plug here> Use the search. </end insert>

Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Safe? Sure. Will you maximize the potential of the cams? No.

thats like the perfect "Stock" setup. you can make like 195whp with the proper tuning of course......

I really doubt you would make 195 whp unless you also had a good 2.5 inch exhaust w/ no cat, hondata, bigger injectors, exceptional tuning, etc. 11.1 is still too low for those cams to make 195 very easily, IMO.

I'm running a T1R exhaust and resonated test pipe. I also have a VAFC and am looking to upgrade to 310cc injects.

Get a hondata. I had a vafc too, but the hondata went in as soon as the spec b's did.

Good point. You're lucky, you live close to SGT. I'd go there for a hondata and some tuning..

im not 100% sure of the diff b/w JDM and Aus spec ITR's.....

but assuming i have the same setup as highrpmek, (stock car running b's + toda springs, std compression) Is there any chance of killing the motor?

I know its not MAXimising the performance of the cams without exhaust and header, but performance will increase correct? The biggest issue is.... will it kill the motor....?

Not if it's built properly.
