Default Where do you go to get your engine swapped?

Is there a special place where they do engine swaps or do you just go to any auto body shop? And if there is a special place where they do swaps, will it be cheaper to order an engine with that place and let them swap it or buy it somewhere else and then go there and let them swap it? Or does it make no difference?

There is no special place to swap your motor. You can do it anywhere you want, your house, your friend house, Wal-Marts parking lot, or any reputable shop. It doesn't sound like you have the know how to do the swap yourself, so I'd recommend taking it to an import shop around your house. You should be able to buy the motor from them. If you don't want to do that, you can find one yourself and take it in. There are a whole bunch of places where you can get motors online. Look around, you might find something you like.
Here are a few places to look for a motor... http://www.importautosalvage.com http://www.jdmhondaparts.com http://www.inlinefour.com http://www.atomicperformance.com http://www.jspecjdm.com...

How much does a place charge to put in a motor? Not including the motor price.

I dont know much about swapping a motor. How does everyone else learn? Sounds pretty complicated. Wouldnt you have to take some classes or courses about this kinda stuff? I dont think you can just look at some book and follow the directions.

That's what it's all about - get a Helms. If you have no idea about how to work on your car, why do you want to swap the engine?

So that i can go hella fast. And i never said that i have no idea about how to work on my car. I just dont know jack about swapping a motor and im sure there are alot of people out there who doesnt either cuz this isnt something simple like lowering a car or installing an exhaust otherwise i would do it myself and save some $$! But swapping a motor is serious and i would want it done professionaly or maybe done by someone who i really trust so that there would be no problems in the future.
